Warm fuzzies and cold hard cash

by Sarah
(www.bipolar-lives.com)

Don't get me wrong - I had a blast in Chicago and agree with every word others have written about how wonderful it is to be with other SBI'ers in order to learn, build friendships, network, and stoke the flames for "getting it done". Chicago delivered ALL of this in a very big way. I have never been with a nicer or smarter bunch of people (well, there was the Orlando conference . . . ) However, being the mercenary little bear that I am, I also want to talk about the money. Just to give some perspective on how valuable Chicago has been, in the last seven days I have made 62% more in AdSense than I did in the week of the Chicago Conference! (On the same amount of traffic.) My e-Book sales are up 20% this week compared to the week of the conference. This is not a fluke. The pattern began as soon as I started implementing my post-Chicago changes. This is a big enough improvement that I could now live off my SBI site if I wanted to. (Like, I said, I am a mercenary little bear and plan to get a few more sites going before I SBI full-time.) Am I going to tell you EXACTLY what I learned in Chicago that enabled this progress? Actually no! I am not holding out - just that my main learning was that every site is SO DIFFERENT that you need to attend a conference in person and then experiment with what seems relevant to you - and what EXCITES YOU in terms of the POTENTIAL of YOUR particular site. A million thanks to Kim, Tom, and the Chicago presenters and attendees. See you all in Tampa! Best, Sarah

You Go Girl!

Fantastic Sarah... now you KNOW why I attend them over and over and over and over! I honestly learn something (actually MANY somethings) from every conference I attend. Just love chatting with other SBIers who speak my language (SBIer lingo)... and every person has a unique perspective, another idea, helping each other goes so far!

See ya in Tampa in the Spring! Wendy
