Networking to the nth Degree
by Susie Eshel
This was my very first conference and going in I didn't know what to expect. I didn't know anyone personally, but could recognize names from the SBI forum posts I'd read.
Three short days later, it was if I had at least 30 new friends. The delegates were all interesting, warm, and talented people with a shared goal...To help and be helped in order to achieve web business success!
It was hammered into our heads that we are so much more than web site owners (Kim, it's working) We are e-business owners.
The presentations were fantastic, the networking was unbelievable, and I left knowing that I had made contacts and friends for life.
To anyone playing with the idea of attending a conference, I only have one thing to say. Just do it. You won't be sorry, you'll have everything to gain, and your web businesses will only improve.
Two heads are always better than one, but the sixty or so heads at the Chicago conference were (are) out of this world and the giving (of advice, help and wisdom) just keeps going on (as witnessed on our Facebook group page.)
If you make one New Year's resolution for 2011, let it be that you'll attend an SBI conference.
Thanks to Kim, Mary, Tom, the presenters and delegates for an amazing (brilliant-Cath) experience.
