How to Grow Success

My story with SBI began back in December 2007. After months of considering SBI as a good business option for me, I took the plunge on Christmas Day '07 and gave myself one of the best presents.
I knew I would start slow, as I was still doing some graduate work (and full-time day job) and could devote time to my online business until after graduation in July, 2008. Nevertheless, I was determined to soak-in as much knowledge from the Action Guide and SBI ebooks in my "spare" time, which were a few hours on the weekends.
Finally in July, I began the journey of writing my first 10 pages. It was so exciting to see my words actually published on a live page over the web!
I kept writing and studying the AG and ebooks. I also started to go to the forums for support. There I found my first "content-buddy," Harriet from the UK (toddler-ideas.com). Pretty soon I had 30 pages up.
Like a good tortoise, I was able to move forward and by February 2009 I had written almost 100 pages. I got a PR of 1!
Because I am a "people-person" I knew I would greatly benefit from meeting other SBIers in a learning environment. So I began to save for the June 2009 San Diego Conference.
So a mini-journey within SBI began and 2nd present to myself (and business).
Let me tell you that the entire process from getting in touch two of the conference organizers, later getting to "know" fellow attendees in the forums before "actually" meeting, finding my roommate, May Cropley (www.scotlands-enchanting-kingdom.com) was so exciting. May and I hit it off right away!
Once at the conference, I realized that there were several aspects of my site that could use MAJOR improvements. For example, some of my initial keywords were too broad. I learned how to improve my present pages and what keywords from my MKL really had good monetizing potential and where page-worthy.
Simply listening to other SBIers opened my mind to the possibilities and monetization potential of my own business. There were some ideas I probably would have never thought of myself, or that would have taken me lots more experience to arrive at. In one weekend I was able to absorb so much more than I had ever imagined!
The presenters were top-notch (my roomy May, being one of them!) in organizing and sharing their knowledge with us. They took the time necessary to answer all our questions.
I can't express enough the boost the San Diego Conference gave me, personally and to my business. It brought me closer to reaching my goals.
Give yourself the gift of an SBI conferences this year, it will take your business to the next level.
Warmly,
